Position Summary:
  • Responsible for the safety of all employees and the security of all assets during daily operations of the plant.
  • Ensures effective and efficient operating of the Mixing, Packaging and Distribution areas of the facility during assigned shift.
  • Consistent with the Plant Vision and Guiding Principles, drives for people development while eliminating losses and delivering business needs.
  • Utilizes World Class Manufacturing methodology to drive rigor in process and discipline in the execution of Standard Work.
  • Drives strategic Loss Elimination efforts within assigned Department across all shifts in the plant.

Responsibilities:

[1] Achieve Base Business Results Deliver Safety performance at goal Drive safety & quality Action plans Achieve commitments in all Safety, Quality, Cost, Production, Demand and Enable Innovation areas per Glide Path and Scorecard Safety - RIR and STOP Quality Cost (mfg costs, cost savings) Production (OEE, Productivity) Demand (Product Availability) Enable Innovation Drive out Raw and Packaging Material losses

[2] Productive Assets* Activity Plans in place and used to eliminate Losses during Investment Time- Mixing- Packaging- PDC* Active Loss Improvement Team is in place and driving to achieve savings goals* Deliver the Spring Hill Action Plan. Deliver against Loss Elimination projects as assigned from the Rolled-Up Savings Plan.

[3] Strong Partnerships* Deliver on Early Management initiatives for Project s as assigned* Improvements in inventory control and management External partnerships - vendors / suppliers R&D / Production Services interface

[4] Drive WCM Capability building Review Process improvements. Gemba as a way of life Deliver WCM Annual Plan. Ensure WCM aligns with SQCPDE areas per Glide Path and Scorecards

People Management & Development:
  • Develop and maintain a high performing organization of enthusiastic owners...approx. 35 - 40 on shift)
  • Responsible for engagement development of Mixing and Packaging associates on shift.
  • Responsible for developing the Training and Qualification plans for Mixing and Packaging associates on shift and enabling the training plans for all associates on shift.
  • Utilize Performance Management Process to develop associates capabilities and improve performance.

Budgets & Span of Control:
Responsible for impacted Production Expenses driving by Shift and Department Performance such as Overtime and Material usage.

Educational/Experiential Requirements:
Bachelors Degree preferred (ideally in Technical Field)5 - 10 years Supervisory experience preferably in manufacturing setting

Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to engage Production, Distribution and Technical associates and facilitate their development Ability to lead a diverse team to safely meet daily production needs Skills in Problem Solving and Root-Cause Analysis Exceptional communication skills - written and verbal
